I want to discourage everyone from staying at the Royal Frenchman… in order to keep this place to myself! Don’t stay here if want a modern hotel, with many modern amenities, lacking in character and charm. Don’t stay if colorful staff with a passion for the music of New Orleans ( which they bring nightly to the hotel lobby or courtyard) is not your thing. Don’t stay if listening to music wafting in from Frenchman street late into the night seems annoying. But you have a passion for the people, the food, the character and especially the music of New Orleans, then the Royal Frenchman’s your place!

Although this is a very nice and convenient location and right next to shopping and eateries, be mindful that this hotel is on a cashless system and that can be costly on top of mandatory destination fees per day.

Apartment was extremely clean & walkable to multiple areas. Communication was 0 but everything else was perfect!

Easily one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at in New Orleans over the past 30+ years. If you understand staying in unique, 100+ year old properties in New Orleans, you know exactly what I mean. Will definitely stay here again!

The property was in excellent condition, with all utilities of a high standard. All communication prior to and after arrival were first class. The check-in procedure was clear and simple and without any problems. The location was very good for us, reasonably close to the main attractions, with public transport nearby if required. There are also shops nearby for groceries etc if required. Overall, the apartment contributed greatly to a lovely stay in New Orleans
