"we have stayed here more than once but this time we were not happy the pool wasn't open, they said it was under repairs, this should have been told to me when I called and I asked about the pool and they said yes, we have a pool, they should have said yes, we have a pool but its not open, not right, we will probably not stay there next year on our way to va beach, sad to say"

"First let me be clear. Larkin is an angel. Second the pictures just don’t do this place justice. Talk about amazing. Super spacious super private super euphoric. If you’re into nature this better be on your list. We didn’t need a single thing. Unfortunately we didn’t utilize the property because we were there for a weekend but I promise you this we will be back to enjoy the property. Larkin from the entire group we thank you for allowing us to use your place I only hope we make it back soon. "

"From the moment we entered the hotel we were welcomed by two lovely young women. They were very friendly and chexk in was a breeze. The room was clean , well equipped and quiet. The facility well maintained. The continental breakfast was very good. We would stay again!"

"This property is a wonderful place to stay if looking for beautiful sun rises and sunsets, beautiful views, and quiet, peaceful surroundings. The home was spacious and wonderful. We loved the central room, containing a spacious kitchen, dining room, and living room (open floor plan). This room allowed everyone to be together and enjoy home cooked meals and lively conversation. We spent a lot of time on the porch overlooking the river, barbecuing, and spending quality family time together."

"This place was perfect for my needs. A clean, safe place, to rest my head and a way above average staff. The staff were so kind and helpful. I wouldn’t think twice about booking with this place again. The ONLY issue we had was that the pool is not open. Not a deal breaker but it was not listed as closed and so we were expecting it to be open. We survived, lol."

"We had a great stay at Edgewater Retreat. Our family of 5 (adults) were in the area for a wedding. The house was just 10 minutes away, which made it so convenient for the festivities. Everything was just as described. The kitchen was well stocked. Our only issue was the coffee maker didn’t work, which I think was damaged due to recent storms (we let Chris know and he was going to replace it). Thankfully, the house is equipped with a generator because we were hit with a wicked storm while at the wedding. Power was out but not at Edgewater! "

"This is a comfortable, cozy, well equipped house. The real gems are the outdoor living spaces. The photos don’t do justice to the serene views of the river from both the screened in porch and the large patio."

"Lovely home, our family felt very comfortable there. In a perfect location for us, not too far from everything yet not right in the middle of the chaos of the town, close to breakfast and a store. We will definitely stay again next time we're in the area. Bonus the host had everything stocked that I forgot, like coffee and creamerthank you."
