What a gem, the location was great, but the stay was amazing because of the staff: Marie, there check in clerk, all was the kindest I’ve encountered. They made the stay one to remember!!!

The room was above the kitchen and when they turned on the extractor fan, it was quite noticeable in our room. The people who work at the front desk are super friendly.

We stayed at Getsemaní Hotel in March and had a wonderful overall experience. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and in an excellent location. We were able to walk to so many incredible restaurants, attractions, and neighborhoods, making it easy to explore Cartagena on foot. One thing that really stood out was the front door staff. They were always friendly, welcoming, accommodating, and eager to help with recommendations, transportation, or anything we needed. Their hospitality made us feel right at home. The only downsides were that there was construction taking place right on the corner during our stay, which created some noise, although that's obviously outside of the hotel's control. My biggest suggestion for improvement would be the pool and bar experience. There didn't seem to be enough staff available, so service was slower than expected. It would also be nice if music started earlier by the pool. Guests relaxing poolside at 9:00 or 10:00 a.m. should be able to enjoy a relaxing atmosphere with music rather than waiting until later in the day. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend Getsemaní Hotel. The beautiful property, outstanding location, and exceptional hospitality from the staff made it a memorable stay. With a few improvements to the pool experience, it would easily be a five-star hotel.
