Jekyll Island Realty was great - called the day of our arrival to let us know the unit was ready and also came to the rescue when we thought we had lost the key to the unit. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. The reason for a four vs five star rating is that the furniture in the kitchen/living space was not terrific. There was a very worn chair and a loveseat with reclining seats that were hard to use. The furniture on the overlook area was also in kind of rough shape. We enjoyed our stay here. The location can’t be beat; just a quick walk across the street to the beach. The bed was comfortable but the decor and furnishings desperately need to be updated, there was no dishwasher and there was layers of dust in spots that had been missed. The crow’s nest had a wonderful view but we decided not to spend time up there because the floor didn’t feel stable, the circular iron staircase was rickety and the railing had already come apart.
