"Doors need seeing to. Fire doors, bedroom doors need to have a slow closing fitted to them constant banging doors throughout our stay. Rooms could do with some update they are clean but outdated and paint peeling away."

"Unfortunately it wasn't a good experience, the restaurant was close and the bar. As for the room, it was so small you couldn't board a dog in it, 15 minutes later I booked another room in the Dragonfly Hotel ...so no it wasn't a good experience"

"The staff were friendly and helpful and my room was spacious, bright, airy and clean. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The amenities were basic but I had everything I needed, including a much needed fan as it was a hot day! The hotel itself is nothing special, the decor is a little run down and in need of a paint job in some areas. My bathroom had rust in the bath and the finish was needing some tlc. The front entrance to the hotel clearly had a no smoking sign which was ignored as it had a strong smell of cigarettes which was not a good first impression. I’m not a fan of self check in at a hotel- it’s not nice to arrive and find the reception unmanned. I did call for assistance which came quickly however and the member of staff was very helpful. It was pretty average place and ok if you just need to stay for a night."

"The pub and restaurant was lovely, as was the breakfast, the room unfortunatly was a little tired , stain on bedding even though it was clean. Shower leaked and ran all over the floor, ants everywhere we even brought them home, yuck, and there are lights in the bedroom that are two bright for a good nights sleep we tried to cover them but to no avail and noise from the other bedrooms was also a problem"

"A very nice and clean place to stay for a night or two. We stayed in a standard double room for 1 x night and was comfortable and clean room. Ate in the bar restaurant and food was really tasty and staff friendly. "

"Room was super clean spacious and well set out, this is my choice of hotel in Ipswich as it’s lovely. Staff are wonderful do really go above and beyond. Brekkie is a basic buffet with vegan sausages to order. Bar area is where you check in quick and simple and nice you can get a drink no matter what time of day"
