« I stayed one night in a double room. The downstairs of this hotel is OK, I arrived early (2pm) and it took me a while to find someone to ask if I could check in early. I couldn't so went off for a walk round the town (which is v nice). My room (40) was small, tbe bedroom window opened about 6 inches (not ideal in a heatwave in a room with no aircon), the bathroom was tired, mouldy grout and a mouldy shower curtain. « A lovely inn situated in a peaceful village but very handy for visiting the attractions within York and the North Yorkshire National park. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and our room was very clean and comfortable. We can recommend the food and drinks on offer in the air conditioned restaurant, both on the evening we stayed and for breakfast the following day. Top marks. »

« Très bel établissement dans la campagne du Yorkshire où on peu profiter du grand calme. Les lieux ont fait l'objet d'une rénovation mêlant agréablement la modernité avec une vieille bâtisse. Le staff est amical et aux soins anticipant même les demandes. Les chambres sont impeccables et permettent de se sentir dans un cocon moderne. L'hôtel possède sont propre centre de remise en forme avec salle de sport, piscine, jacuzzi et sauna. Même s'il peut paraître vieillot, une nouvelle construction...

« The room was spacious with a good amount of storage whilst the room did not have air conditioning it was cool and a comfortable temperature, which to say it was 30 degrees outside was good. There was a fan available, but we didn't need to use it. Room was clean and the bathroom was acceptably clean. There was however slight mould spots on some of the grouting and sealant in the shower.
