Our room was top floor.Unfortunately it was so hot and with no air con.
Had to open windows but noise from road made it difficult to sleep.
Bedding was poor quality especially pillows.
Scruffy room with bathroom door hanging from hinge, only one bedside table,generally scruffy with limited parking.

The hotel grounds were pleasant, building and facilities were well kept, spacious clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable and rooms quiet for a good sleep. Historical heritage was good to learn. We only stayed a night and just had some small issues with the room having no hot chocolate for children and TV had no guide menu so hard to navigate as there was no fix for this setup. Door key was intermittent and frustrating. Staff assisted when asked.
The pool and sauna is good and relaxing at the spa, 2 min walk, but only available to children 4:30pm-6:30pm which is not explained before arrival if you are checking in late.
Breakfast finishes at 9:30am and had a strange sour taste and low quality sausages and beans but a good choice. I would not return for breakfast.

Beautiful suite with an amazing view. The suite had every amenity you can think of and access to 24hr gym. We would love to stay here again. We used our Tesco reward vouchers to get this stay, a great way to stay in a beautiful hotel. Dinner at the restaurant and the buffet breakfast were excellent too.
