We had a wonderful week here. The cabin matches the pictures and descriptions perfectly. There are terrific views throughout the cabin, the furniture is comfortable, and there is plenty to do nearby.
We had the best time staying at this house! My kids didn't want to leave. It was clean, comfortable, had amazing views, great amenities (fireplaces, TVs, hot tub, ping pong) and the property management was great. We will definitely be returning.
The property is as pictured the views are amazing.
The communication with the property manager were amazing we had a small issue that was promptly addressed and my only complaint with the this property would be the cleanliness that can use a little bit more attention other than that I would definitely enjoy to stay here again in the future.
This is a beautiful house with amazing views. We stayed a week here, it has a perfect location, in the middle of nature and very close to downtown Blue Ridge. The only thing that really bothered us was the lack of shades. the views are amazing but at night we really wanted some privacy. If it had curtains we would definetly go back
This place was an incredible venue for our elopement and so so so SO spectacular inside and out. Beautifully decorated and tons of natural light. We really hated leaving. The master shower was a special treat too. Again, we just loved it. My only issues with cleaning were LOTS of carpenter bees around and associated wood dust, and the cabinet faces and interiors could use a deep clean and some organization, along with some hard to reach crevices in the kitchen, and maybe the storage closets. But, that’s me being extremely picky and OCD. Again, we loved it SO much!!!!!!
This home was perfect, plenty of room for the 7 of us to spread out. The fire place was perfect for night. Plenty of towels, beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed and we cooked at the house often.
The photographs marketed the home well with gorgeous views.
We had a great time. and loved the location.
A couple disappointments were that there were only two towels in every bathroom. They should supply at least six for every bathroom. Also, there should be robes / nice, fluffy towels for when you get out of the hot tub. They also need another large garbage can outside. One last thing. The deck upstairs was not covered so all of the tree debris fell to the hot tub and second deck. Bring condiments and seasonings and you will have a great time.
The cabin was absolutely beautiful. The location was very convenient to downtown Blue Ridge. The total disappointment was with the beds. They were so uncomfortable. It was impossible to get a good night’s sleep. Myself and my sister both had to buy a foam mattress topper to try to make it work. In addition, they already had a foam topper on the beds which tells me they’ve already had complaints about the comfort level of these beds. As a rental property owner, I don't think the beds should be an afterthought. A good night’s sleep is a critical part of a vacation. For us we tried to make it work, but ended up leaving a day early because we were tired after not sleeping for a few nights. I even slept on the couch the last night hoping that would help. Vacations with good sleep are absolutely precious and should not been overlooked.
A couple other details that need to be addressed.
The HVAC system downstairs didn’t work. We had to buy a space heater to bring the temperature to a comfortable level.
We couldn't get the indoor fireplace to work. However, that wasn't a big deal because it was warm enough not to use it.
The outdoor fireplaces didn't have tools. Because of that no one cleaned the fireplace out from prior use and we were unable to do the same once we were done. I've always cleaned the fireplace as part of the exit requirements from a rental property. In addition, lack of tools makes it more difficult to manage the fire. One sad thing we noticed is that because there were no tools and no starter logs, we believe the prior guest used some kind of paper to start a fire. Using paper in a fire makes for abnormal ash to float out of the flames. Because of this the furniture was covered in ash and soot. It was sad to see your nice furniture damaged that way. I would rather pay a few more dollars a night and have these items covered (FP tools, starter log and a few logs to get started). Then the second night the guests can purchase what would be needed for the remainder of the stay. In the winter months you might want to have a starter fireplace kit to get your guests started. If your worried about theft of tools then have them set up in a way where they are kept inside, but accessible.
The outside trash can was almost full when we got there. We were unable to put our final load of trash in the can upon exiting. This note is longer, but I ran out of text space.
We loved this cabin because it was a more modern and updated feel, while enjoying some privacy in the mountains. Loved the light colors and the natural lighting. However, some blinds on the east/west windows would be nice when the sun is hot and beaming in. Also, it would be better if the porch table and chairs was on the same level as the kitchen. The rest of the cabin was a great layout and wish we had been able to stay longer!
