Top Blackmore Hotel Reviews

Vertus Edit Canary Wharf

10/10 Excellent

"Fantastic location, very clean and reception staff are very friendly."

Locke London Canary Wharf

8/10 Good

"I booked a deluxe studio but hadn’t realised from the pictures when booking on a phone that the shower opened directly into the main room at the end of the bed. It was only when I stretched the pictures when looking back at my room choice that I could see this. The shower had a clear glass door meaning that there was not any privacy at all for anyone showering and also stepping directly into the bedroom to get out of the shower. The toilet and sink were at the other side of the room in a very small room. It was a very unusual set up. As I was travelling with my 20 year old daughter, the lack of privacy when showering really bothered me. I was surprised that it had never been mentioned in a review before. I spoke to Charlie at the front desk who thankfully moved us to a one bedroom room. This room was perfect as it had a separate bathroom. I couldn’t fault this room and we enjoyed our stay. Perfect location for a weekend in London."

Spring River Ebbsfleet by Marston's Inns

10/10 Excellent

"This was my second stay and it was as excellent as the first. The Receptionist was extremely helpful and even remembered me from last time. The hotel is in a great location for Brands Hatch which is only 15 minutes away. The Pub and Restaurant next door has really good food and a nice atmosphere. The room and bathroom was immaculately clean and tidy and is a good size. It has a really comfy bed too. The heating was great which was most welcome with the awful cold weather! I can't fault it and I highly recommend it. I will certainly stay again."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Blackmore?

The best time to go to Blackmore is typically during the late spring and summer months, from May to September, when the weather is at its most pleasant.

During these months, you'll find warmer temperatures and longer daylight hours, which are ideal for exploring the village and the surrounding Essex countryside. This period also sees the countryside in full bloom, making it particularly picturesque for walks and outdoor activities.

For those keen on outdoor pursuits like walking or cycling, the months of June, July, and August offer the best conditions. The dry weather makes exploring the many public footpaths and bridleways around Blackmore, including those leading to the nearby Blackmore Lake, a comfortable experience. You'll also find local events and village fetes more common during this peak season.

If you prefer to avoid the busiest tourist period and potentially find better value on accommodation, late spring (May) and early autumn (September) are excellent alternatives. The weather is still generally mild and agreeable, but the crowds are thinner, allowing for a more relaxed visit.

Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?

Many Expedia hotel reservations are refundable, provided that you cancel before the hotel's cancellation deadline – this is often within 24-48 hours of your scheduled arrival. If you have a non-refundable booking, it might still be possible to receive a refund if you cancel it within 24 hours of booking. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. For maximum flexibility, use our "Fully refundable property" filter during your search to find the right Blackmore hotel for you.

How much is the nightly rate at a Blackmore hotel?

Hotel prices in Blackmore often vary, but you can find a great deal on Expedia. Different factors affect nightly hotel rates, such as the time of year or the days of the week you want to book. To find the best deals for your stay, be flexible with your dates, and sort search results by "Price: low to high" for our cheapest rates.
