« Quick response to our question when we got there. Quiet and peaceful, I never heard the barges go by. Easy to find. Short drive to town for groceries and to Maquoketa Cave State Park. Daughters thought their beds upstairs were a little hard (personal preference), but the one downstairs was very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen. Best set of skillets I have seen in a rental. »

« Saw this place on hotel.com and thought I’d give it a whirl. It sits in a beautiful small town called Belleview.IA with lots of parks and access to the river and tons of shops and diners just a short walk away. Although the staff is off site they are super friendly, honest and pretty knowledgeable about the area which is great for first time visitors. « This home was so well maintained. I love the little things like having everything labeled and instructions for the heating and cooling system. We also appreciated the quality of the kitchen/cooking tools (pots/pans etc.) and the mattress. This house lacked absolutely nothing! The owner kept great contact with us. « We had a perfect weekend for three friends from grade school to reconnect. The weather was perfect and the house was perfect. There were three bedrooms on three different floors, a deck to view nature, and a large kitchen table to eat, play games and laugh. The host was wonderful and sent suggestions ahead of time. Their home was well stocked and very comfortable. We had a picnic at Galena vineyards, shopped main street, ate at Galena brewery and did the Goat trek! We would love to come back...

« This vacation stay was a celebration for the 70th birthday of one of 6 sisters. We arrived on Memorial Day and left on the following Friday. We did go into Galena every day for part of the day but spent much of our time chatting, making puzzle and watching "chick flicks". It was a great way to spend time with sisters that I love dearly. The sleeping space was great and we appreciated having three separate baths. Would definitely consider a return trip! »

« Since it was the Marriott the property has really improved. There is a bar now and a sumptuous breakfast was served. There is now an elevator where there wasn't one before. The beds are quite comfortable and there is housekeeping each day. The staff was quite courteous, except the checkout person was quite cold. i wanted to talk about our great stay but I don't think I would have been too well received. »
