"Room was good, bed comfy, shower worked well. It’s in the middle of town so there is some noise, especially on a Saturday night, but to be expected. Checking in was easy although it would have been helpful to have two room keys. The woman on the desk did not seem entirely in the same world as everyone else. Parking can be a problem but usually can park in town square (which you need to pay for, either in cash/card or by downloading the local app). Place fairly clean, tables for breakfast...
"Staff were very friendly and helpful. The property was a little tired. A big car park for about 14 cars was a big plus. The road system is a little complicated and busy, so advanced planning how to access the car park is recommended.
The full English Breakfast was provided bang on time and was adequate. I would suggest that they introduce cornflakes, marmalade and any fresh fruit or yoghurts. We also had to ask for second cups of coffee/tea."
"I have stayed in many hotels but this was one of the best. The staff were very friendly and accommodating the hotel rooms here large and nicely decorated. The gardens provided a perfect setting for a late evening drink and winding down after a busy day. Yes there are probably, better hotels out there but for our stay this was a 5 Star event."
"Our room was very dirty.
There was pink scum around the basin and bath.
Cobwebs above the bath.
The laminate flooring was uneven and chipped.
There were food crumbs in the bedside drawers.
I don’t think this room has been cleaned for a while.
Breakfast was ok.
The fridge where the bottle milk was kept in the breakfast room had dirty stains and hair on the bottom of it. I’m glad the milk was in capped bottles.
The staff were very friendly.
I guess this place was cheap for a reason!!!"
"Easy to find and helpful staff when we arrived early . Light flickering in toilet but sorted by staff straight away . Found previous occupants half eaten Chinese takeaway still in the bin in the room which wasn’t great . Reported to reception all very apologetic but should really happen if housekeeping being done throughly . Maybe they just had an off day . Colleague in separate room only had one towel in the room, no bathmat and no hand towel but as a sole occupant she decided not to complain...
