"The owner was conscious of our needs. He immediately ushered us in, told us to make ourselves home and that he would be back to answer and questions. The home can accommodate 9! Plenty of space! Beautiful grounds, a pool to yourself and 3-20 mins to the beach of your choice! Grocery is 2km away! The ambiance the owner provides and his story is c’est magnifique! When we were there we were 100m from the filming of Death in Paradise a Netflix filming! St Rose has many a street vendor."

"This property was was just what we were looking for. Lots of space to relax and get together and still be able to have quiet time alone. The view is awesome, you can see a long way! Up on the hill so you get great breezes which is nice when it get hot - pool is a blessing at this time as well. "A fun and unique experience in Guadeloupe. We enjoyed the Creole style house with a view of the ocean and pool. We generally enjoyed the openness but, as others have said, you should bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper due to the evening noises from bugs, roosters, etc. Bug spray is helpful but the mosquito nets do a great job of keeping bugs away at night. "The staff was wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. The grounds were lovely and the pool was always very clean. Great property!"

"Room and bathroom was beautiful and spacious. Very nice deck area attached to the room with gorgeous views. More breeze than downtown since it's up the hill a little. Walk to rooms is uphilk plus a flight of stairs. Beach is small but has great snorkeling. Large pool and 2 outdoor showers as well as changing rooms. Unfortunately the restaurant is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays which was when we visited. They did however provide the shuttle for free those evenings to access other restaurants. Breakfast was included and excellent: scrambled eggs, a variety of fruits, cheese, ham, a variety of pastries and fruit juices. Lots of ants, which they eventually sprayed but didn't clean up so that was a little gross."

"We truly enjoyed staying at villa Karumaya. The house is beautiful and the view is stunning. The balcony is amazing. The landscaping is gorgeous and well maintained. Property owner and management are extremely responsive, helpful and a joy to work with. I highly recommend staying at this villa."

"This is an absolutely beautiful villa and certainly has the wow factor. Cooking at night with an open view often included an amazing sunset, stars and the moon. The kitchen also has everything needed to cook a meal with a supply of basics ie oils , spices and herbs. There are no restaurants within walking distance so we tended to eat out for lunch and eat in at night. The pool was refreshingly cool, slightly colder than the sea temperature but not by too much. We took inflatable water chairs and enjoyed lounging about on hot days. The master bedroom has the most amazing view and is a good size with efficient air con. We didn’t sleep in the other bedrooms but they are a good size. The open plan living space is great with a large dining table and seating area. It’s only a few minutes in a car to Deshaise town that I loved. Even in low season a few cafe bars are open and 2 mini markets. A pretty place and really quiet in June. A couple of minutes drive to the Grande Anse beach which was beautiful and again very quiet with a few cafes open for lunch. We are at La Salamandre one day and it was excellent. We were lucky and had no mosquito problems, we did light a coil early evenings that worked a treat for the small amount that was there. The odd cockroach in the bathroom at night but only to be expected and certainly not an issue. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation."

"Sublime endroit, bien situé, petite plage de cailloux en bas de l’hébergement pour voir le magnifique couché de soleil. Personnel vraiment gentil. Un seul point pourrait être amélioré: une télécommande pour ouvrir le portail du stationnement au lieu de devoir sortir de la voiture pour faire le code, mais c’est vraiment un menu détail. Tout était parfait! Je recommande. J’étais avec ma fille de 18 ans, nous avons eu 2 lits simples, sinon je recommande vraiment pour un séjour romantique."
