Fantastic location. Two cleanliness issues bothered us. One of the red blankets on the bed had stains on it. The other issue was an \*\*extremely foul odor\*\* like a dead animal coming from the trash bins out front. With the front windows open and bedroom windows open at night, this odor wafted through the entire house. It was really bad. The good thing is that these two cleanliness issues can be remedied, and I'm sure the owners will address these issues. You can tell that this home is cared for by a loving family that enjoys spending time there as well. Lots of dirt and debris from the work. The street the house is on is very convenient to the beach Access, but is also a major road with lots of traffic all day and well into the nights and mornings. Since the house is not A/C you must leave the windows open to be cool enough to enjoy. So you get constant road noise and fumes from old gas carts. House needs some basic repairs such as replaced ceiling fan in one room, window locks and curtain’s desperately need cleaned. Bathroom is also in need of an upgrade. Overall the house has a cute vibe and has a classic Catalina bungalow feel to it. I thought the goal would be to bring people to the island to make the local commerce work instead of insanely high rental prices to feed the renting company’s pocket... The two chairs in the living room are pretty worn down and look like they can use a good shampoo to them or just new ones in general. The pillow shams on my bed looked like they never got taken off to be washed. And the beds were all quite noisy whenever anyone moved around. For what I needed for the 1 night me and my friends were there it was fine but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who has pretty high cleanliness standards. Sep 9, 2017 #### Great location Great beach house, although we had the unfortunate luck to plan our vacation Labor Day weekend during the heat wave. The house was so hot because there was no air conditioning. It was so hot we couldn't cool the house down with the fans provided and had to stay in a hotel the first two nights. We ended up at the house the last night and really enjoyed ourselves. ##### Brandi M. Jun 24, 2017 #### Perfect place to stay on the island Our girls trip was great. We could walk everywhere and not get lost. The golf carts we rented were a great touch too. The cottage was nice.
