"I enjoyed my brief stay at the property. The check in process was unusual. I talked with the property manager via Ring and the place was unlocked. Also, I was initially unsure which room I would occupy. But everything got sorted out. The location is very, very close to the street, but the building, which apparently was constructed in 1810, was so well constructed that any noises from passing traffic could not be heard. "The inn takes you back in 1800 era with the ambience, decor and charm. The surrounding also reflects “frozen in time”. Stories from pictures, paintings, crafts displays. The rooms have modern amenities and convenience. Breakfast was simple and delicious, bacon, eggs, pancakes or waffles. The nostalgia of yesteryears permeates everything… very interesting experience. Staff was welcoming from reservation throughout arrival and stay … like visiting a family. Very convenient to see the Cave. Some people don’t like noise (2-3x a day while we were in the room) from train passing but we found that as a part of the charm as folks in the old days travelled via train and horse carriages … so this completes the nostalgia."

"What a wonderful host. David and his wife Milly are so kind she even brought us fresh picked tomatoes from her garden. They are the sweetest people. I’m glad I had to opportunity to meet them and really enjoyed talking with them. I would stay here again for sure. What a cute cabin with everything provided while sitting on a secluded piece of property. I enjoyed sitting outside listening to the animals. We will be returning. "

IDA'S COTTAGE... Close to caves and lakes. Beautiful decor... Simply the best!

"Ida's Cottage is located within the heart of Glasgow, KY and only 15 miles to Barren River Lake and about the same distance to Mammoth Cave. The comfortable 4-bedroom house is near grocery stores, retail stores and restaurants. The house makes the perfect spot for day trips around south central Kentucky. The National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green is only 35 minutes away. The house is in a quiet neighborhood with quick access to main roads. We found the house to feel bigger inside than the photos indicate. The host has provided all amenities for a very pleasant stay."

"We had a wonderful family get together weekend. This home was spotlessly clean and provided all the amenities you could possibly need for a great vacay. We enjoyed the hot tub and played games on the patio. My grandkids loved the game room downstairs. The hosts have thought of everything! We will definitely go again! 10 out of 10! Thank you for sharing your home!"

Cozy lakehouse retreat w/kayaks, high speed Wi-Fi, and pet friendly!

"The house was excellent and had whatever you needed. It was off the road but a house was a little ways up the road in front of it. There was kayaks and paddles plus wheel carriers because it's a good walk down a hill. But it was all grown up down where you could get on the lake. The weeds were knee high. We took our dog and thought it could play with one of us while two others take the kayaks out but we would have to stand in the weeds and drag kayaks through 50 ft of weeds. So needless to say we didn't get to kayak or have access to the lake. I planned on a budget with in mind to have everything we wanted to do was there. Had a nice stay (and with our pet) but was expensive to just stay in another house for two nights. Also if you want to play cornhole you need to take your own bags three of them were busted opened. They are left out in the weather."
