Avoid room 226, as its bathroom window faces a VERY loud industrial AC unit (although it is nicely camouflaged with foliage). That was our only minor negative mark in our overwhelmingly positive stay. Book it. "

"This was one of my best travel experiences, ever. The hotel is walkable from the local Amtrak station and nestled on King Street with access to a free trolley (to local shops/eateries and the Potomac waterfront). The hotel's bar/grille and newly-opened HomeGrown breakfast and brunch were phenomenal. The room was large, clean, comfortable and quiet. And the staff was top notch - giving local tips and even helping me celebrate my birthday with a special treat. I will definitely return. "
