Archer Hotel Old Town Alexandria

"Archer Hotel is a lovely property. The courtyard you walk through is a nice preview. Stepping off the hot sidewalk, it is noticeably cooler as you walk through the courtyard. The front desk staff and valet were kind and helpful. We chose not to use housekeeping services during our short stay, so we can't comment about that. We enjoyed a meal in the "Homegrown" restaurant attached to the hotel. The staff was great. The food was excellent, as was the service. No complaints at all and we plan to stay at the Archer during our next trip to Alexandria."

"Everything was good, but the room had an odor as you walked in the door. It seemed to dissipate once you were in the room for a while. We stayed for three days and it was the same every day. We did not say anything to the staff. It was also confusing as we thought we were staying in old town. It would be helpful and much less confusing if you took old town off the name of the hotel. Traffic was horrible driving from old town to Richmond Street."

"This hotel was very nice. It looks a little shifty on the outside as if it may not be nice (dirty looking windows and blinds looking outside in). We were pleasantly surprised. The staff was nice. Our rooms were clean and the air worked well to keep us cool during the night. The breakfast was great, bacon, eggs, toast, pancakes etc. The only issue we had was WiFi connection, it was a bit spotty. Other than that, I would recommend!"
