"I have stayed at this property several times over the last 5 years, love the location and bus stops right in front. They have now changed to self check in and still easy to do. One thing that could be better are the beds and pillows, so hard. Maybe add a pillow top or foam and better pillow. This trip our room smelled like burnt broccoli every day, which was bad."

Inside has awesome taste, spankingclean. Everything we need in Yakushima. "Seems to be newly built. Basic free amenities, the room itself is very modern with a comfortable bed, TV, air conditioning, kettle, private shower, and fridge. There is a vnding machine on site. The staff don't speak too much English but we were able to communicate just fine (日本語ちょっとおしゃべるけどギリギリ (笑) In regards to the area, there's not too much; some restaurants and a small supermarket, the staff have a list at the front desk of what is around the area. Very close to the port, so a very good choice if you're coming in from Uehara port "
