Tucked between rolling hills, this small town offers a perfect base for exploring central Virginia's historic sites. Venture to nearby Charlottesville for Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, or unwind at local wineries with stunning Blue Ridge Mountain views.
This was our second stay at the Clifton, indicating our appreciation for its design, decor and location. However, we noticed that the quality of the lodging has declined somewhat. No longer a full=service breakfast though the continental fare was stylish. Just one hanger in the closet blew our minds. Restaurant quality not as superb as it once was. Reception and staff attentive, courteous and helpful.

Beautiful new property conveniently located for UVA and STAB families. We usually stay at the Omni - the Guesthouse rooms and in-room amenities are comparable. Didn’t see any restaurants, pool or gym though.

We very much enjoyed the size of the room...2 queen beds ,a sofa and kitchenet and very clean... Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast spread was more than excellent with everything that one could ask for. We spent a week of golfing in the area and were always happy to come to our room and then enjoy ourselves in the pool. We would definitely stay here again
