Wolverton Vacation Packages

Great location, beds comfortable, breakfast buffet excellent

The staff is very kind and welcoming. The facilities and room were clean. Access to the bus was excellent (several just a few steps away); for the tube, it's a 10 minute walk. Having a second room with a kitchenette made the stay more pleasant. The beds were comfortable. However, the bathroom has a barn door and it about a foot away from one of the twin beds. The light switch is outside the door which means that there is no way to avoid shining a light on everyone if you use the facilities at night. The laundromat was a great add but was extremely crowded. Breakfast had a wide variety of foods but was busy and chaotic. There are only 2 elevators for over 100 rooms which means long waits in the am between people going for breakfast &/or check-out.

One night stay. The bedroom floor, beside the bed and underneath it, had an accumulation of dust and fluff, and being asthmatic resulted in me having a poor nights sleep, We had been out all day and got back to the room late at night and didn’t notice until the morning, when we reported it on checking out. The staff we sympathetic and said they would report it to housekeeping. Breakfast was very good, well stocked and plenty of variety. However, the tables were very close together, it was like sitting at a very long table. We didn’t use the car park but it looked well lit and plenty of spaces.

We just spent a week at the Stafford. We loved the location and the fact that it was on a dead end street so it was very quiet. The service was excellent, and the British gentlemen who are the concierges were totally helpful in setting up reservations. We had a great experience. Our only issue was that we could not really enjoy the American Bar because the smoke from the patio outside comes into the bar. Everything else was great. A very traditional British place.
