"Our host, Paz, was delightful and made a delicious breakfast. Our room was ready when we walked in and no on-site check-in required, which was nice because we were very tired. We enjoyed sitting on our private porch for a little bit until the smoke from the Gunnison Canyon fire settled in. Good linens, good water pressure. I would stay here again! "

"The Grinning Bear Lodge was an amazing spot for our family in preparation for the Leadville 100 MTB. The “cabin” (more like a large beautiful oasis in the woods) was amazingly appointed and comfortable, with breathtaking views. Nancy was an attentive host. And the hummingbirds were welcome guests!We look forward to returning!"

"Our stay at the cabin at 3 Elk Creek was wonderful! We had 3 generations of family staying - from 60 to 1 years old - and the house was a great fit for all of us!My husband had fun exploring all the art and artifacts on the walls and shelves - so many antiques and special things to look at! We all loved that we had access to a creek and wildlife right out the back door, and saw pronghorns almost every day.The kids had fun feeding the hummingbirds and leaving sunflower seeds for the curious squirrels, and spending time on the deck and around the little creek.The house was well appointed with everything we needed, and the host and staff were very helpful! We had a death in the family and had to leave early, but our time there was memorable! We hope to return again!!"

"It was a very accommodating house for three couples. We cooked in the great kitchen. Hung out in the living room. Parked three vehicles with ease and went into town which is about 5 minutes away. The gardening was nice. We could have done a hotel, but sitting down to dinner together and waking up with that view was pleasant. Overall great."
