Very nice room and courteous staff!

We have been coming to Mountain Lake Lodge for the past six years and have enjoyed every moment--until this time! The food was substandard. For instance, the breakfast rollup was greasy and not tasty. The expensive Cobb salad was mainly greens with Baco's served as bacon. The fried chicken sandwich was burned as was the meatloaf sandwich--my husband left most on the plate. It was very crowded in the bar and it took over 40 minutes to burn these dinners. As for the delicious hamburger, there was no mayonnaise on the bun as advertised and same for the club sandwich. We had to ask the waiter for some. For the price we paid, this food was not up to standard. I say--FIRE THE CHEF!! Wait staff was excellent. As for the cleanliness, we had to notify the main desk that we needed more tissue and needed our garbage cans dumped. The man who came was most accommodating. Sad to say, we will not be returning to what used to be our favorite place.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make sure both myself and my service dog were completely taken care of and comfortable. That level of true inclusivity and care means the world to a working dog handler. What made our trip even more special was how wonderfully the staff treated our children. They didn't just nod and smile-they engaged them in genuine, respectful, adult-like conversations that made our kids feel so valued and important. It's rare to find a hotel where every single family member feels this seen and cared for. We will absolutely be back!

Clean property. Nice big and clean room. Comfortable bed. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
