"This hotel is right downtown Portland. It has an elegant feeling without being pretentious. I enjoyed the later check out and the ability to walk around exploring Portland. Having a $10 credit to my meal/bar tab was an outstanding way to be welcomed after a long day of travel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will hope to stay there again. "

"Absolutely loved our stay at The Royal Sonesta Portland Downtown. The lobby is a work of art—playful, stylish, and full of character. Our room was spacious, comfy, and felt like a true escape from the city bustle. The staff went above and beyond, making us feel genuinely cared for. Perfect location, gorgeous vibe, and a warmth you don’t often find in hotels. You can tell it’s an older building, with serious 1930’s charm beautifully blended with modern updates. "The room was great! We had plenty of room for four. It was one of the biggest rooms we have had for the price. The only issue was checkin. They were understaffed and we had to wait for over 30 minutes to get to our room. Normally, it wouldn’t be an issue, but we were exhausted. Even the lady at the front desk said they needed more help after 8 p.m. otherwise, it was a great. "
