Adorable Tiny Digs! We thought we’d give it a try. Cute tiny trailers built and decorated into tiny themed rooms. Just a different “little” experience for a one night stay near the Hawthorne neighborhood in Portland. Lots of cute little PROs and not too many CONs. PROs; Our tiny digs (Merlot) was clean, cute, very comfortable. You’re in a locked, fully fenced, secure lot in case you’re worried about that. Tons of great restaurants around in walking distance. We ran into the grounds/house keeper Summer, she was very pleasant. Nice shared area for guests to sit by fire pits, eat, relax, socialize while the hustle and bustle of city on other side of fence goes by. Checkin and self entry with codes was very easy. CONs; It doesn’t have onsite parking so you will need to drive narrow neighborhood streets looking for a spot. You are on a main road that’s well traveled, so depending on which tiny house you pick, expect road noise. We got tons of vibration and car noise, especially in the early morning but we’re not light sleepers, so not a huge issue. If you’re claustrophobic, some room’s sleeping arrangements might not be for you. Overall no complaints with our accommodations. The fun, tiny, well appointed rooms are all different. Stay at Tiny Digs in Portland! What an adorable community of tiny homes, each with it's own unique style. Every little detail was well thought out and super clean! Beach House beds were super comfy - the only criticism is that the AC unit is VERY loud, good thing the evening weather allowed us to sleep with the window open. The community is right around the corner from NE 28th Ave, which has A TON of really awesome restaurants. The unit had a little tiny binder with all the details of the surrounding areas. Location was also great! Downtown Portland is definitely sketchy but the area where Tiny Digs is located is awesome - safe to walk around at night and people are respectful of the night hours. As noted in the hotel details, plenty of overnight parking, although one morning we woke to a sealed bag of dog poo on our car, maybe we upset someone by parking in their area, who knows? Overall, I'd definitely stay again at Tiny Digs and have been recommending everyone else to do so as well! What a great place to stay. So very unique. Great location! The property setup with the courtyard in the middle and a secured gate surrounding it was awesome. Parking was a breeze on the street right outside the hotel gate. Convenience store right next door was wonderful. The owners obviously put so much thought and love into this little "community" of tiny homes. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness that was put into this property is very apparent. The Beach Tiny decor was impeccable, and the layout was so fascinating. We only stayed one night but would love to go back. The location was great with so many dining options close by. I love this place!!! We've been there several times. We want to stay in each tiny house. Molly, the manager is wonderful. She referred us to a dinner place that was great, and walking distance. We live the location. Parking is easy. And Tiny! But it's in the name. I loved the self service aspect, we actually didn't interact with anyone on the ground. Beds were very comfortable, the unit was super clean. A minor glitch with the door lock was easily fixed with without delay by management. There are lots of restaurants and coffee places within easy walking distance. The tiny house we stayed at was the log cabin tiny house and it was clean, comfy & cozy. I loved the area. The walking distance from the restaurants & bars was the "cherry on top". It felt safe & I loved the details in the tiny house that made it such a special stay.
