There were a lot of ticks on the trails (nothing to do with the property), so anyone bringing a dog, make sure they are protected with something. The deck that goes around the cabin is amazing! You can be out even if its raining. The host answered all of our questions within minutes! Highly recommend!"

"We had a great time at this cabin. Perfect size for four adults plus dogs and wonderfully clean, especially for being pet-friendly. So convenient to Blowing Rock, too. Hard to beat that location. As other reviews have stated, the driveway down to the cabin is rough, but we were able to do it in a sedan several times with no issue. Would only recommend an experienced mountain driver handle it, though, and only with some daylight. The deck was amazing for morning coffee and birding. Would...

"Just hours after leaving, we were already looking at the calendar and planning our next stay. The location is great and the cabin was clean and comfortable. We built a fire in the fire pit and enjoyed the sound of the water. The landscaping is beautiful!"

"If you love peace and quiet, this cabin will be your happy spot. It's out of the way with its private slice of babbling creek, lush ferns, mosses, rocks, and birds. Very well appointed, clean as a whistle, and all wrapped in a wonderful porch. We ate lunch along the way at quaint 'Almost on the Lake' and did a simple pasta dinner and oatmeal breakfast for our one-day stay. If you have a novel or jigsaw puzzle you want to finish, there couldn't be a better spot. I can see bringing my grands back...

"We rented this property for my wife’s birthday weekend. This cabin was very clean, organized, and had more amenities than most rentals. The property is secluded with a nice view off of the back porch. It had a large, brand new hot tub that was very clean. The firepit was top notch and there was LOTS of dry kindling and firewood.
