"The entire house was slanted, making it difficult to walk up the stairs, which were already fairly steep. One friend left with unspecified bug bites on her leg, several of us had reddish and brown stains on our mattresses, and one persons was flipped over to hide said stains. Floor came up a bit in the kitchen on our first night there and a friend got a scratch on her foot from it. Trash was also not taken out when we arrived. "The hotel was fairly new, but hadn’t been maintained. The room was OK but very dirty. All the corners needed to be cleaned. The tub needed to be cleaned. There was a lot of hair in spots. I had to wipe down the entire room before I used it. I only stayed one of my two nights because I was so grossed out. It’s an expensive staff was decent locations not bad but the construction is a bit of a pain."

"Very nice hotel showing its sign of age. Elevator was in need of repair - many of lights in the buttons didn’t work, most importantly, the ground floor or number one. The elevator would also pause for what seemed a very long time maybe 20 seconds after reaching his floor before the door open. On the first few times using it it was very unnerving. The public areas were very clean with very upscale furniture throughout the lobby area. There was a massive outdoor garden with seating that I’m sure they use for special events. It’s an old hotel in a very upscale area that just needs some updating. Interestingly enough, the door to my room on the eighth floor did not have a deadbolt or a device like a chain or a bar to keep someone from getting in if they got past the door locked. I haven’t noticed that in recent memory."

"Great hotel overall — clean rooms, friendly staff, and a good location. The only downside was kids running up and down the hallways loudly well past 10 PM. Unfortunately, nothing was done about it after complaints, which made it hard to relax and sleep. If the hotel enforced quiet hours better, this would have been a near perfect stay."

"PROS: The desk attendant was very nice. Location was convenient. CONS: The hotel smelled very strongly of weed. It was OVERPOWERING throughout the entire building, day and night. The hallway carpets were very dirty and stained. The hotel was under construction. Men were working on the exterior, and this was not disclosed when I booked my room. All parking spots were roped off, and I had to park far away and carry my luggage all the way in. I went to my room and immediately noticed that the carpet did not look vacuumed, there were dark red stains on the floor by the bed, piles of something that looked like burnt candle wax and something brown splattered outside of the bathroom door. Bathroom and kitchen otherwise clean. Comforter on the bed smelled used, so I tossed it. In the a.m. the construction started at 6am. On a Friday morning. Is this legal? Men were on scaffolding right outside my window working on the brick. The noise was an issue; I had to work remotely while I was there, and it would have been nice to not be woken up at 6am to the sounds of construction and deal with the noise all day. I tried to get on the wi-fi and had to sign up for a Sonesta membership to access it. It still wouldn't work and I attempted to call the front desk and the phone didn't work. They said I had to come down. For the other day and a half, I was there, there was no one at the desk at all. The walls are very thin. I would NOT stay here again when traveling for work."
