Delightful little place. Old historic building and the bar downstairs, with its local jazz was just cozy as can be. Highly recommend def. Oh, and the king bed in our room was shockingly comfortable.

The rooms themselves are very cute and nicely decorated. It was overall pretty clean, just some extra bugs in the fold out couch that my daughter had to sleep on. I was disappointed that the fold out couch itself was the width of a twin bed; so my son slept on the floor. I had indicated 4 guests. There were extra sheets and blankets provided, but only for the couch. Luckily, we had our own. The air also did not keep up; luckily its Duluth so as long as we kept our windows open there was a nice breeze for sleeping at night. Just the first night when we arrived it took quite a while to cool down. There was an issue with the check-in text I was supposed to receive- it didn't load correctly or something, so I had to call anyway. Overall I love the property and the whole set up; the location is unmatched; and the free parking included is a HUGE bonus for Canal Park. They obviously had a lot of extras to give it a personal touch, which we appreciate.

We’ve stayed at this hotel several times, usually a great experience. Only issue we had this last time was we were given keys to the wrong room. Another couple walked in while we just got there. Not the end of the world but could’ve ended up being super awkward!

Unfortunately the hotel is really starting to show its age. We had a two queen room. One of the beds would sink 5” in the middle when weight was applied to it. There was a fair amount of mold in the bathroom especially around the shower and ceiling. The electronic key reader on the door failed to read the key if it wasn’t used every couple hours. We made many trips to the front desk to get the room key reprogrammed. Other guests had the same issues with keys. Most of the staff was very nice. The pool area is very dated but fairly clean. Half of the games in the “arcade don’t work but take the kids money.
