was really pleased with myself finding an excellent rate for this hotel which to be fair is a basic hotel but more than adequate and importantly clean. I wasn’t however very popular with my family who report having the worsts night sleep on account of the heat experienced at the moment and the hotel not having any air conditioning. Even in the dead of night the temperature registered as being 31 degrees in the room. They did have a little desk fan in the room but the hot air was just stagnant and it didn’t spilt well between the 3 of us. In hindsight I should have spent that extra £50 and had one of the neighbouring hotels that do have air conditioning to guarantee a good nights sleep. That said it is a great little place and I wouldn’t discount in it winter months (they have heating!) but it’s not very comfortable when it’s hot. As mentioned the rooms were basic but are a good size and ideal for families with young children. Clear instructions were given for arrival after 2pm when the reception desk then becomes unstaffed. It’s in a great location with free parking. Bottles of water were appreciated only there was only one fridge to share on our whole floor located in the main hallway which was full of people’s food. Breakfast was included but wasn’t great to be honest and apart from orange juice we didn’t have anything. Staff we encountered were friendly and the hotel has a very laid back vibe.

I booked a single room here as a last-minute addition to my trip, and it was the absolute highlight. The hotel’s central location is dreamy—in the heart of the city, surrounded by trees and next to a canal, making everything walkable. My room featured amazing balcony views of the Black Forest and excellent air conditioning (contrary to some older reviews). I came here to unwind and did exactly that, spending my days at the spas. Over the weekend, there was a festival right next to the hotel and casino, which added a great energy to the evenings. The hotel staff was absolutely lovely, and because Baden-Baden is a smaller town, everyone was incredibly friendly. A few helpful tips for future guests: Navigation: Avoid Google Maps in this area; it glitched constantly, turning 3-minute walks into massive detours. Train Station: It’s a bit far, but a local bus connects it to the hotel in 20–30 minutes. Airport Transit: Public transit to the Baden-Baden airport is tricky with no direct buses. Instead, the hotel kindly arranged a taxi for me, which cost €60 and took about 20 minutes. There were zero downsides to my stay. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and will definitely be coming back!
