"The rooms were very basic, for the price you can’t complain, A coat hanger would be good just too hang your coats up etc. The room coffee and tea making gear but no milk or fridge so black it is… The staff/reception lady was very helpful. We mixed up our arrival day and she managed to book us into another room for the night with no extra charge.. we booked through Expedia.. Would I stay again….. probably. The place was very close to the redwoods treetop walk which was handy and also close to some restaurants etc."

The weather is still pleasant, often mild and sunny, making for comfortable exploring. You'll find the landscapes are particularly photogenic during these seasons, with autumn offering beautiful foliage in the surrounding areas.Winter, from June to August, is the quietest time to visit. While it can be cooler with a higher chance of rain, the geothermal features are just as spectacular, and the steam rising from the hot springs is even more dramatic against the cooler air. You'll likely have a more solitary experience, and accommodation prices might be more favourable.
