(566 reviews) Stay was soured by toilet issues. After 1st day, toilet clogged. Maintenance came and "resolved". Clogged again. I was THEN informed that NO toilet paper is to go into the toilet to prevent clogging. Note: this is not unique to the Mio - apparently many hotels in BA have this restriction... My issue: WHY ISN'T THERE A SIGN? So many int'l guests (esp. USA) where this isn't the norm - nor is it necessary in some many hotels in BA. Nonetheless, after "fix" #2, I still had to call them 2 addt'l times, as the toilet never worked fully (very frustrating and quite embarassing). Other issues: super strong air scents being pumped out (had to stand outside to get fresh air), missed room makeup. Staff could not have been nicer, though! Very very helpful and accommodating. (and agreed about the necessity for toilet signage). Mio does not feel like a large 5 star hotel - its more like a 4 star feel. Great location for adults - if young and in need of a "vibe", I'd rec. staying in Palermo. I would stay there again.
