"We stayed in Malcesine for four nights and paid extra for a lake-view room, which was absolutely worth it. Sitting on the balcony in the morning or in the evening with a drink, taking in the beautiful lake and surrounding mountains, was one of the highlights of our stay.

"The resort was beautifully landscaped, spectacular views and facing the lake. Everything was perfect. However an advice for the management - not the best time to have staff turn on the lawn mowers when people are having breakfast at 9 am outside. Diesel fumes and noise spoil the appetite. Especially on the weekend. Strange practice of leaving lawn mowers and water hoses as tripping hasard all over the place. It ruins the view and could easily be put away if told so by management.
