There is no breakfast available anymore. The businesses around the hotel have been closing so the location is no longer convenient. The place looks run down overall, we had a glass door cracked in my room and the fan in the bathroom was dirty. Although the AC at the room worked great, they don’t run the AC in the lobby, which makes it really uncomfortable. The staff at the front desk wasn’t rude but not especially friendly either. It was little embarrassing to take my family there (two rooms), because my experience 3 years ago was much more positive. It doesn’t seam like they have been maintaining the place since then and the pillows were Terrible! I have nothing personal against this place, but it was disappointing to see what it has turned into.

I simply cannot imagine a better hotel than this one. If/when I return to Veracruz, I shall request to stay here again. It has a perfect view of the harbor and is within walking distance of the historical part of the city (the Zócalo, the Cathedral, etc.). All rooms have balconies also. The Parroquia restaurant next to it is where I had most of my meals. Excellent.
