The shower had a poorly put up shower curtain. We were given two plastic cups, and a few pieces of soap. The door was not secure and there was a lot of light around the door. The third bed by the wall was next plumbing so every time the toilets flushed you could hear it. We never found a swim up bar, so I’m not sure if there was one somewhere. The staff was nice

Room wasnt as expected, for a so called "deluxe room" as well as being away from the property. The bathrooms were quite neglected and the rooms had some mold. The majority of staff were fairly helpful and kind but the cleaner seemed very angry and seemed to direct this onto guests. Overall, the hotel was away from the hustle and bustle, This was really nice. Yet, it was fairly accessible too. The small restaurant was quite picturesque although we didnt eat there.

Beautiful property on the canal. Three large windows that can be opened to let in the breeze. Very quiet, picturesque area. Walking distance from all major sites. Very welcoming staff walked us to the room and showed us around.

Great location for visiting Venice. 10 minutes walk to the water taxis, either on the Grand Canal (and then a 5 minute boat ride to the Piazza San Marco) or in the other direction to the Venetian Lagoon. Restaurants and bars close by and a 20 minute walk gets you into the tourist centre of the city. The Hotel was clean and tidy, the food good and the staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely use again.

The location of the hotel was wonderful and in cooler weather I would give a better review. The air conditioning did not work and for 4 of us in one room we suffered. Over 2 days we asked for something to be sorted but it fell in deaf ears.

Humedo, viejo old, the receptionist look on my eyes and say. We are 5 star hotel. But to be onest 1 star. I had to leave to a hilton garden hotel cause my girlfriend was having problems bringing. I had a sore throat. They always said we been having problems with wifi. A group of people were there for 5 nights. Since day one were told problems with wifi. It was really a negative experience. We left the same nights 4 hours after arriving

Save your money. I have never been in a worst kept place before. They obviously have not vacuumed since the building was built in the 1600’s, there was literally dirty bandaids hanging on the ac unit. They promised we could use the ac, but no, it was mandatorily set by them. The WiFi was non existent. The guy at the desk, when I brought up issues, instantly turned to rude and said “write to this email for refund then” I have since wrote to them, and another employee even said to do the same thing, and they will not respond nor refund. I would not recommend this place at all. Especially for the money. Disgusting, terrible service, and a major waste of money. Please do yourselves a favor and do not stay here.

Pretty basic, shower didn’t heat up and power cut off through the night. I couldn’t change my air con/heating as there was no remote to allow me to do this and the buttons didn’t work. Shuttle is apparently €140 but wouldn’t know because no one got back to me about it. You’re just as easy walking (25 mins) from the bus station to the hotel.

AC is terrible! Had to turn on a fan I carried with. Finding the hotel is a bit confusing they have 4-5 properties all same name and the one that's hidden is the one with staff so you around looking for where to go for a bit before finding it. Also room smelled a bit like cigarettes... Otherwise location was great and view from room was great

The first room I got was basically worst than a hostel in 3rd country. Smell of toilet, sockets falling apart, door that could be open just by a simple push, window at street level without any security, wifi not working, all bathroom and toilet appliances falling apart. After long protest I was given a room in main building. Old, dusty, bed linen with insects... shower without hot water for 5 days in a row, poor wifi stability... the only good thing in that hotel was the location.

I had a very disappointing stay here. First, the room had no heating. While the staff were helpful and provided extra blankets, it was still freezing and difficult to sleep. To make matters worse, there was no heater in the bathroom either. The hot water is also unreliable. We had hot water earlier in the day, but by 10:00 PM, there was no hot water at all, making it impossible to shower in the cold. The bathroom design is a major issue: there is no shower curtain, and while there is a drain inside the shower area, there is no floor drain for the rest of the bathroom. This caused the entire floor to flood after use with no way for the water to drain away. Overall, the hotel is badly maintained. The carpets are faded and worn, and the equipment feels very old. While the staff were kind, the lack of basic amenities like heat and hot water makes this hotel hard to recommend.

Don't Expect Much

The room was so small and they packed in 3 twin beds AND a Futon. No room at all. The shower handle attachment was broken and it leaked into the bedroom area. They said if you eat at their restaurant, they give you a 40% discount. But then they add-on top of it a 30% gratuity charge. No ice and cold drinks are barely cold. Cool is more of what they were. But for the price, I got what I paid for.

I recently stayed at hotel Ca' Messner 5 Leoni and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. First and foremost, the WiFi was not working during my entire stay, which made it difficult to stay connected and plan my activities. Additionally, I encountered a broken toilet in my room, which was both inconvenient and unpleasant. The cleanliness of the place left much to be desired; the rooms were dirty, and the carpets had stains that made the overall atmosphere feel unwelcoming. Given these issues, I would not recommend Hotel Messner unless significant improvements are made. It’s essential for a hotel to provide basic amenities and a clean environment for guests, and this establishment fell short in those areas.

Alert!! Alert!! Do NOT book here…..this place is not as it shows in the pictures…if we can show you the pictures we have you would never book here….its brutal!!! Stains in the carpets and walls, gummy sticky stuff on walls, ac didn’t work, stain on sheets, wifi didn’t work, mold in shower, broken windows….shower doors…ruined our second year anniversary!! Do not look at Expedia reviews, go to google and check reviews. This place was recently named something else….and they changed the name….and possibly have more than one name for the place….we have stayed in some lower budget places which were fine but this is another level. Thankfully with a fight, they refunded our second night but only in the afternoon. Terrible experience!!

At arrival about 15 o clock in the afternoon of 30th of june, the temperature in the room was very warm, about 35 celsius degrees. Same as outside. Your staff-member in the reception told us that the AC had worked the day before, and would soon have cooled the room down. It was set on 16 celsius degrees at arrival. We left the room for a few hours and came back at 8 pm and the room was even warmer, and the staff in the reception came up to our room to check the Ac, and said that he did his best on making it work. We had to leave the room all evening because of the heat in the room. At 11 pm we asked a third time in the reception for help to cool the room down, the temperature was at 38 degrees celsius (yes we had a thermometer to measure). The answer we got from the staff in the reception was that we have to come back in the morning of 1th of July at 8 am for change of room. The night that we had to spend in the room was horrible with minimal of sleep for the whole family. We had the wet towels with cold water and use as covers. No one can sleep in almost 40 degrees celsius. The temperature was lower in the corridor, how is that possible? The morning after, as of today, 1th of july, we went down to the reception, for change of room, as we were promised by staff the day before. The answer we got was that it was fully booked, and that the solution was that a technician would be contacted within 60 minutes, and that the Ac would work, but is was totally broken!!

There was no air conditioning in the room. The landlord knew perfectly well that the air conditioner was broken, but pretended to offer to turn it on for us. I would have felt more at ease if he had just told us directly instead of lying. That night, the temperature reached 90 degrees Fahrenheit (about 32 degrees Celsius), and I tried opening the window for ventilation, but there were a lot of mosquitoes, and the landlord said they didn't have any mosquito repellent.

Me siento estafado. El hotel olia muy mal, habitacion sucia, muchisimo frio no funcionaba el aire caliente. Wifi dijeron que habia pero no habia. El agua caliente costaba que saliese, la puerta de la habitación no cerraba bien se veia desde fuera. Lamparas rotas cortinas rotas, suciedad en los rincones... horrible experiencia encima caro.
