For some odd reason, the hotel is called "San Marco Palace" on the web and on one side of the building, but called by a completely different name ("Royal San Marco") on the other side, where the front door is. I spent ten minutes walking back and forth trying to find the door to the "San Marco Palace". The staff didn't seem to think having a totally different name on the front door was a problem.
Overall the hotel was fine, in a very nice location; room was large, a but stuffy, but in good shape. Coffee at breakfast was not good-- sadly, coffee culture in Europe is dying, as they have all been convinced to get these automatic machines that use powdered milk and metal filters to produce a gritty, watered-down, gluey concoction.
