This was the most interesting hotel we stayed at during our two week trip to Switzerland. I cannot speak for the quality of other hotels in this area, but the Alex Alpine Resort is a lovely place to stay. It is filled with character and just a short walk from the train station, making it an easily accessible hotel near many shops and restaurants. We had a view of the Matterhorn right from our balcony. Breakfast was sufficient. We would absolutely stay there again.

Wonderful stay - everything is new and place is well equipped. It is walkable to town and bus is convenient although beware that sometimes it is so full you can’t get on.

Room was clean, fairly modern. Walk-in showers was nice. Bedmattress elevated, required walking along narrow path on both sides. My main complaint was when booking room on site, it stated there was air conditioning. There was no air conditioning. It was very hot in room.
