I had a wonderful vacation in the Resort, and my overall experience was excellent. The resort is beautiful, relaxing, and very well maintained, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy Mauritius. I would like to give a special thank you to the housekeeping supervisor for his outstanding service. Late at night, around 12:00 a.m., when some food was accidentally spilled on the deck, he personally came to assist. He brought a mop and cleaned the area himself with great care and professionalism. This level of dedication, especially at such a late hour, truly reflects the high standards and genuine hospitality of the resort staff. Moments like this made my stay even more special. I truly appreciate the kindness and responsiveness of the team, and I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for excellent service and a memorable vacation in Mauritius.

The receptionist, named Jeremy, is bald with a beard. He's terrible, disrespectful, and rude. He's damaging the chalet's reputation. He accused me multiple times of taking two drinks from the minibar, and I told him repeatedly that I hadn't taken anything, but he wouldn't believe me. He's impolite, unprofessional, and a liar. The driver called him to ask if the road to the chalet was safe and good, and Jeremy replied that it was unsafe, bad, and difficult to reach. When we took the road, it turned out to be safe and good! Jeremy ruined my vacation and made my wife and me unhappy. I paid a lot of money to have a pleasant trip, but he spoiled it. His attitude is disgusting and rude. He should be fired from the chalet so that it doesn't lose more customers. I'm going to change chalets and never return to Chalet Shamral. There are other beautiful chalets in the same area with respectful and courteous staff. The waiter at the restaurant, named Kafan, is wonderful, helpful, and respectful. The porter, named Abdul Hakim, is polite, respectful, and excellent. I will send this message to all tourist websites, hotels, and tour operators. You must buy enough water before arriving at the chalet because there is no grocery store nearby, and the chalet's restaurant closes early and is very expensive. You will need water at night.

Stunning property with everything you could imagine. So huge and large, so much to do, that great place. Nevertheless we did have a bit of a bad experience on our arrival date as we did have not one but several mess up, that certainly does not count for my 5 star review. Johannes the property director made everything possible in his hands to change our view, and certainly succeeded. We enjoyed our stay lots and would recommend 100%!

We booked Bay Club at Anahita for 10 nights as a family of five with children aged 7, 14 and 17. Sadly, we had to check out after one night, which was a real shame. The main issue was major renovation work around the restaurant, bar and pool, which we had not been made aware of. Noise, boarded-up areas and building work spoiled the ambience. Our apartment overlooked the restaurant and was also affected by workmen and scaffolding next door. We were half board and the hotel had erected a marquee on the grass as a temporary restaurant. Unfortunately, it was poorly ventilated, attracted ants and uncomfortable. Management and staff were clearly embarrassed and acknowledged other guests had left. They tried to accommodate us in the Italian restaurant, but food options were limited. The hotel kindly arranged for us to move to its sister property, Long Beach. However, this was not comparable to Bay Club, but we had little alternative. There were positives. Our apartment was fantastic: spacious, modern, very clean and luxurious. The grounds and golf-course surroundings were beautifully maintained, and the resort felt exclusive, sharing the area with Four Seasons. We particularly loved the boat trip to the island and its stunning beach. We enjoyed it so much that we returned later in our hire car, which the hotel allowed. Once renovations are complete, Bay Club could be fantastic. It is peaceful and remote, although there is limited to do nearby and teenagers may find it quiet.
