Parking was an issue. To pull over for reception was a problem. Then using the multi car park for parking as the Hotel parking was full was an effort with luggage as I just had a new hip replacement. Accommodation was great.

As I was in a wheelchair I found it very hard to get into the room some type of automation would have helped. the bathroom shower curtain was to short so every time you had a shower the room would get wet. The room was lacking in storage No USB charge plugs. When asked to get somethings fixed in the room this took a couple of days to get done AKA chair broken safe not working. The hotel rooms are stuck in the 80s with there brown colours. The hotel staff are very friendly and will always help you out with a smile

Rooms need proper maintenance, paint and repairs. Disappointed that the pool area wasnt open. Didnt receive VIP room upgrade, even to a higher floor or baloney room. Staff pleasant.

There is no undercover off street parking accessible from the hotel, only underground parking in walking distance to the hotel which you hsvr to pay an addition fee for ($15 per night). This car park is also very low so won’t fit any higher vehicles or ones with roof racks etc. The room we stayed in had no balcony, however the windows weren’t able to open either which made it a very stuffy and closed in experience in a tiny room. Beds and pillows were not very comfortable. Overall was an ok stay for a very brief stop over, however glad we weren’t staying any longer.

Very friendly staff, large comfortable room (king executive room), central location, we used taxi from airport ($30) as we arrived too late for shuttle bus. Hotel decor looks well kept, not old, but colours are drab & lacking warmth & giving it an old fashioned feel, everything in the corridors & the room was brown. A bit of colour would brighten up a stay. It’s saving grace was the large windows. We had a small balcony on 18th floor it was very windy up there. Rooftop pool was great with fantastic views. Enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast with plenty of options. We were particularly grateful to see so many gluten free options at breakfast. Hot drinks weren’t great- hot chocolate very weak & watery & tea also weak ( perhaps water from dispenser wasn’t hot enough to brew a decent cup). Enjoyed our stay and will return if in Townsville again
