Honestly, I expected more from a Hyatt property, and for price of this hotel. The stay didn’t start well when we informed the “complimentary valet parking” (one of the reasons we chose this hotel) was unavailable due to covid, despite my reservation confirming it. That I understand, but what I don’t think is acceptable is I was to told to find my own parking at my expense across the street at the back of a strip club, costing $25.
The room is fine, although smaller than I anticipated. It’s well appointed and had a record player, which I thought was a fun touch, until I realized it didn’t work. We were put on the first floor, with a view of an alleyway. It’s very close to Yonge St, some expected it to be noisy, but it was reasonably quiet. Beds were comfortable.
Overall, it’s an acceptable property. My preference (if location isn’t so import) would be Le St Germaine in Maple Leaf Square (it also was a less expensive option).
