"Property right on lake. The outdoor sauna overlooking the lake was great. Fire pits were nice. Easy self check in. Room was a little dated but location was awesome. Would recommend if you are looking for a couple night stay."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was convenient, right off the highway, but still felt quiet and peaceful. You can hear the waves of Lake Superior at night, which was actually pretty relaxing and made for a great way to fall asleep. The balconies were a nice touch, with outdoor furniture where you could sit and enjoy the sunrise over the lake. Overall, a comfortable, peaceful place to stay with a beautiful view and a convenient location."

"This is an excellent and fun place to stay for the price. It’s designed to be an affordable family place with an outdoor fire pit right on the lake. It’s not the Ritz…it’s not a luxury resort. It’s a perfect place in a great location that everyone can afford. We have been here before and will return. Love Solbakken Resort!"

"Location was great and the front desk staff very attentive and nice. We really enjoyed the bonfire and s’more’s at night, live music and some games with kids. We’ll be back again."

"For being an older drive-up motor inn our room was very clean and well maintained. Linens were not drabby. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was " ok." It had mostly prepackaged items, which I feel is safe."

"It was great location, wonderful views. The place was well appointed with up to date appliances. The bed were comfortable. The communication with owner was outstanding. If we come back next year we will request this unit."

"There are many types of rooms/lodgings so check out the choices before booking. The place is quite nice and there are walking paths along the water. We didn’t know much about the room choices and booked two separate rooms to accommodate the varied time schedules of our travel companions. The only criticisms I have are that we were lodged a ways away from our friends and there are no community areas to get together to visit, play games/cards etc."
