This is one of those places you would never think to go to unless someone said, "You have to try the Chuckwagon Cafe!" I don't think you can get a more authentic Alberta small-town dining experience than in this rustic barn-turned eatery. If you are hungry, go early because you can expect to wait. Proudly serving Alberta-raised beef, you gotta try the burgers.
The sign says it all, "Alberta's First Craft Distillery". Well, maybe it doesn't say it all... the distillery has received numerous awards for their spirits. I loved the apple brandy. Although known for their gin, do take note of their whisky. It was expensive, but very smooth. Their bottles are beautifully designed as well, making for a nice gift for the spirit connoisseur on your list.
