The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed that I have slept in during this trip! The hotel staff were friendly and although we did not speak German and they did not speak English, we managed to communicate. There was a locked bike cage in the garage which we appreciated. By bike it was a quick cycle into the centre of town where we found a bakery, grocery store and a lovely park. Easy walk to town and train station with a small grocery store at the other end of the parking lot. Shower was not easy to climb into and wouldn’t work for tall people. Also, the temperature control was confusing and didn’t seem to change the temperature no matter how we changed it. "Hotel is clean and staff is friendly. It was fine as an overnight stop. The town has a small but nice historic centre. It is however more or less dead. A few restaurants were open but do not look very appealing. Many properties are boarded up. Apparently it used to be bustling but many people left after the reunification."

"The receptionist was not at all welcoming and simply asked for our names, handed us a key, and told us how to get to the room. The receptionist who handled check out was not very friendly either.
The room was large, had a nice view from the window and generally the facilities were OK. The chairs in the room were extremely uncomfortable, unstable, and need replaced.

"We have to open the window because room got very hot, just to find out there was a stair outside the window were anyone can get inside our room in the middle of the night, also room was very basic, old tv, carpet and nothing else. Otherwise it was a great location next to the train station, pharmacy, supermarket and other stores. Breakfast was great quality."
