VEA Newport Beach, A Marriott Resort & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"An amazing resort! Perfect for the solo traveler and avid shopper. Easy walk to fashion island and the bell staff is excellent! I also loved the bar and service. I will definitely return!"

Cozy Condo With New AC, Steps from Balboa Ferry and Peninsula Beach Access

10/10 Excellent

"Robin’s place was just as expected. It was perfect for our family of five. Everyone had plenty of space for sleeping and hanging. I didn’t realize when booking that it was on the same street as the ferry which was perfect! We were able to easily get to Balboa Peninsula to meet family and vice versa. It was a great location for walking. The garage to park in is quite tight - as mentioned in the listing. When we first arrived, the other duplex guests had taken up more than their share of garage space. Robin worked to help get their vehicle scooted over so we could fit one of ours. The street parking isn’t terrible (although I can imagine that in high tourist season it would be challenging), and on weekdays doesn’t have the same time limits, so we easily made due until we could get in the garage- and with our second vehicle. The air conditioning upstairs kept everything super cool. And the water pressure in the showers was strong. Thanks for the stay! We’d definitely come back again and stay here!"

Best Value on Balboa Island, Classic Cottage w/Amenities, Walk to Beach and Marine Avenue

10/10 Excellent

"The charming cottage on Balboa Island was exactly as advertised. Very comfortable and very well appointed. The house had everything we needed - including a closet full of fans that kept us cool at night. What I especially loved was that the house is an older cottage with tons of character and just felt very homey. You can easily walk to Marine St. (the main street on Balboa), the ferry, a market and tons of stores and restaurants. My daughters loved their room with bunk beds and we really enjoyed spending time in the yard. It was wonderful to have a dedicated parking space on the busy weekend days. We hope to stay there again!!"

Coastal Modern Balboa Beach Cottage, Steps from Water 4 BD 4 BA

10/10 Excellent

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed this beautiful home perfect for 2 families and children. Unfortunately it was record breaking hot October weather with no air conditioning. Our host graciously provided probably 15 floor fans to combat the heat. I would love to come back for cooler weather."

Classic Balboa Cottage, Newly Updated with A/C!

10/10 Excellent

"The cottage is situated in an ideal location, conveniently accessible to the Balboa Peninsula via a small ferry. The island exudes a sense of safety and friendliness, offering a plethora of charming shops and restaurants. It feels like stepping back in time. The cottage was clean, modern and comfortable. We would definitely stay again."

Beautifully Updated Historical Cottage Retreat with Garage!

10/10 Excellent

"This charming and cute cottage is fully equipped with all you need for a comfortable stay. It is ideally located for a short walk to downtown Balboa Island. We walked to the bike rental shop by the ferry and enjoyed several walks around this pristine marine setting. It is also located in the heart of Newport Coast for easy access to all things beachside in Orange County."

1002 E. Oceanfront | Biggest Oceanfront in Newport Sleeps 20

8/10 Good

"We had a wonderful week! The layout of the house was perfect for the 14 of us and we loved being right on the beachfront. There were 5 beach chairs for our use and some sand toys. The kitchen was very well-equipped. The view from the master bedroom was amazing. However, the home could use a good, deep cleaning!!! Also, the shower in the courtyard didn’t work, We only had a cold water hose to rinse off the sand from the beach. The outdoor shower should be repaired to make it easier for guests to comply with their request to remove all sand before getting into the showers inside the house. The front porch is a pleasant spot, but the cushions on the porch furniture are in drastic need of replacement. It made it difficult to enjoy the porch. The location is great, with restaurants and activities within walking distance. Check in and check out were seamless. The week was so good, but could be improved by the suggestions above, especially for the money we paid."
