Two older teenagers love having the downstairs space to themselves, myself and my older adult daughter stay in the upstairs bedrooms. Very spacious, clean, lovely deck for meals and social time, beautiful setting. Near many things we enjoy including wonderful places to eat (especially McLoons Lobster Shack right on the island; Primo's for something fancy, and The Happy Clam for family dinner); Owls Head and Birch Point State parks for beach time; Rockland for the farmer's market, excellent coffee shops, the Farnsworth Art Museum, and wandering around/browsing. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Questions got answered promptly We got lobster delivered to us!! Owner left some literature about sights to see and things to do in the area, which was very helpful. The light in the dining area is poor, as we could not get the overhead light to work. We tried every light switch we could find. Made it a little hard to do activities around the table after dark. But we managed. Also just watch the downstairs bathroom. Owner warned us floor was uneven, and it takes a bit of getting used to, but we managed with no issue. Overall, this was just a delightful place to stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed our week there. The Yard was great and had a very nice deck equipped for entertaining guests. We enjoyed sitting out in the evening around the gas firepit spending time with Family from the area. We enjoyed watching the wildlife walk right up though the yard. Spacious garage we did not use but was accessible. 3 Bedrooms and 2 baths were spacious and well equipped. We loved the large stone fireplace in the Livingroom it was beautiful for taking memorable pictures.
