Asakusa View Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Probably one of the best hotels I've stayed in, the service was impeccable"

APA Hotel Keisei Ueno Ekimae Minami

8/10 Good

"Rooms were small but the location was great! And there’s another location with similar name which caused a bit confusion. The Taxi driver took us there initially. It’s very close to one another as well. Overall, the hotel was clean and they provided lots of amenities."

Asakusa Tobu Hotel

"Very conveniently located in Asakusa near Asakusa station, Asakusa and Ginza lines, as well as the train directly to Haneda Airport and the train to Tokyo Sky Tree. It is right near a major shrine (Senso-Ji) and near the Sumida River, and many, many restaurants. It is busy, quite a hub. The hotel is modern and clean with typical, smallish rooms, but with everything one needs. Breakfast buffet is bountiful and good, with many options, Japanese and Western."

MARUMI HOTEL Tokyo Asakusa

"Clean and quiet space in Asakusa, though a little far from the train stations (15 mins walk). Would recommend using the bus (46, T08) to get there faster or taxi if necessary. Room was okay sized, enough for 2 people. Bathroom is clean and well laid out, shower toilet, wash basin all separate. Great view of Tokyo Skytree from the hotel. Only 8 floors, but there is an elevator. As always, convenience stores nearby within short walking distance, right at the doorstep. Staff spoke English and helpful. Towels changed when requested, and other amenities available in lobby. No iron, but there is hair dryer. A little more sound proofing would be better for privacy, as other showers and people talking in hallways can be heard, though hotel has a quiet policy in the night to allow for guests to sleep comfortably. Overall, would recommend to a couple or a single guest."

Onyado Nono Asakusa Bettei

"I enjoyed my stay here very much, clean rooms and facilities, great location for seeing some Asakusa sights at night, which beat the daytime in ambience! I also love that I was able to step out into seeing Asakusa before the crowds arrived, which felt very calming and felt more authentic to me. Most importantly, the staff are very wonderful and welcoming, as well as helpful! I checked-in late due to delays and they were very understanding, as well, I received help from staff for bringing luggage upstairs check-in and before check-out as well. They were very polite and courteous and I enjoyed chatting with them, especially at check-in. It was a complete contrast from my previous stay in Akasaka, and I’m so grateful that this was my last stay before flying home :) One thing is that I had stayed in the same chain’s Kanazawa hotel recently and couldn’t help comparing them a bit, including the smaller rest areas after the onsen, but they also have massage chairs which the Kanazawa one doesn’t have. I would definitely recommend and stay here again in the future!"
