Sunshine City was very nice, the Family Mart downstairs was great for late night snacks and there were nice places to eat close by. Checking in and out was very easy and the hotel laundry room was easy to use. That is a major plus for many who don't want to walk very far to shop. About a 10 minute walk is Ikebukuro station, and near it is Ikebukuro Animate street, where all the anime stores are at. It is one of the best lodgings for the average anime fan. Staff are amazing, lots of them too so you can reach them with little wait time. There's a shuttle bus service at the hotel for those who need to go to Haneda or Narita. Rooms are very similar to 4 star hotels in North America,. There's also a family Mart located within the hotel. The room did not have an air purifier /humidifier included by default like most 3\* hotels we've stayed at during our trip. Very central location to Ikebukuro. Airport Limousine bus stop right in front of the hotel. Busy and very big hotel necessitating the use of the elevator which was very annoying during busy times. We once had to wait over 20min due to it being too full three times once it got to our floor. The temperature cannot be controlled in the rooms.
