Walls need painting. Wallpaper needs replacing. Furniture is scratched/damaged. This property still uses keys to open doors. We rented the Eco Room. This room has no housekeeping service. Upon check-in, the clerk mentions that towels are not provided. I showed the clerk the Expedia listing. Expedia said that towels were provided. Clerk said Expedia is wrong. There was no point in arguing with the hotel clerk. Since it was too late to get a refund, we stayed at the property. A few hours later, I noticed Expedia had removed the towels reference. Our room faced the main street and we could hear the sounds outside. This room did not have a/c, but a fan was provided. We ran the fan 24/7 to get some air circulating as the room had a stale and musty odor. We thought the room had mold, but maybe it was just the wallpaper glue. Although it was close to the Taipei Main Station, I would not recommend this hotel.
