Guests beware that there is an elevator but it was an add on and kind of scary. It fits one person without luggage or just luggage. The entry points, the front door and room are all done in an app . No keys. My room door entry failed one night and I had to call for help. They responded quickly. They gave me a code for the lock box next to my room door. I used it from then on. Don’t ever forget your phone in the room or you are out of luck. It happened to me and I couldn’t get into the front door. I waited until someone left the building to gain entry. And remember I had a key to my room thankfully. The room has a coffee machine but no pods left for it. Only tea bags. The breakfast is nothing like the photo. The rooms are tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable.

The property is very close to the old town and has a lovely pool and nice balconies to enjoy in the rooms. There is secure parking for a small fee as well.

We have stayed in enough Best Western hotels in Europe now that we have joined their rewards program. Rather than being cookie cutter hotels, we have found many fascinating, unique historic properties. This was the actual mansion where my ancestors met with, and likely spent nights with le Marquis de Baume! Our room was spacious, and the front desk was quickly responsive when we thought a light fixture was broken. They cheerfully offered to move us, but we decided to stay to enjoy the nice bathtub. And then we accidentally discovered how to turn the light on. The front desk girl (sorry, forgot her name) was sweet and helpful. The dining and breakfast rooms were outstandingly beautiful historic spaces. It's the most beautiful staircase I've ever seen! The elevator and A/C were also greatly appreciated. The only drawback was parking. A common problem in European cities. My husband was told that the lot was just at the end of the street, but he said it was actually a mile away, so I don't know if he just missed the intended parking lot, so perhaps a little map to hand out would be helpful.
