![Buttle Lake is about 23 kilometres (14 mi) long and 1.5 kilometres (0.9 mi) wide, has an area of 28 square kilometres (11 sq mi), is up to 120 metres (394 ft) deep, and lies at an elevation of 221 metres (725 ft). The lake is located between Campbell River and Gold River in the wilderness area of Strathcona Provincial Park. The lake is the source of the Campbell River.

« This cabin is amazing! It’s obviously an older home but it has been updated in all of the most thoughtful ways. The beds and bedding are incredibly comfortable, the furnishings are beautiful and comfortable, the kitchen is huge and has everything you need to make a fabulous meal. The cabin is about a 10 minute walk to groceries and great pizza, and a 1-minute drive to the ferry but it still feels like you’re on a perfect island escape. And the view… holy smokes. We loved this cabin and you will...

"Our stay was awesome! The Villa is great. The hosts have made everything so that we were comfortable in every room, even on the private terrace or on the private beach. We enjoyed everything. We saw many eagles, a dear, a rabbit. Also, ou 12 years old son and I used the kayaks available on the beach, and a curious seal came 1 meter close to my son! That was amazing. We went for great hiking in the parks close to the Villa. We also went for a whale watching tour with Big Animals Encounters… we saw 9 humpback whales, many seals, sea lions, dolphins, … and 8 orcas! The hosts were very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. The spa worked perfectly. I highly recommend this place!"
