« We had an excellent stay at The Townhouse, could not ask for a better location, all the staff were wonderful, excellent to talk with and could not help you enough, especially Joe (The jack of all trades), he is a tremendous asset to the hotel. « Absolute disgrace of a place. Myself, my mum and my two children booked here for two nights. The fold out bed was apparently for two people. There’s no way. There was a single duvet on it and only one clean towel on top (three towels in total for 4 guests), so even the staff are aware that it cannot sleep 2 persons. « My expectations were far exceeded with this style. Myself and my two children had a river view family room which was a great size and had a lovely view. The breakfast was better than average for a very responsible price and kids ate free! The location is exceptional and had parking. We could walk to Shakespeare's birthplace in 5 mins or less. The room also had tea and coffee-making facilities, which could easily be topped up at reception, along with some lovely cookies.
