It was our turnaround point, though the trail can be followed for another few miles. In normal years, the water runs above the rock shelf you see in front of you for a good portion of the year. I was able to clamber down and take a picture in mid-July, something that really isn't heard of. However, there are photos out there from this perspective, all of which were probably taken in late August or September.
