we have stayed at the holiday inn for the past 25 years as it is clean, conveniently located and service was always good. upon arrival Wednesday Aug 26 we were met with a massive renovation. we came in through the front entry into demented lobby. workers told us we could not come in but offered no advice eon where to go. finally a HI rep came over and apologized for the renovations and tried to explain the process. he tried but not that well. we dod book in although the front dest clerk seemed preoccupied and less than friendly. we were shown to our room, thank goodness we are very familiar with the hotel, else we would have been lost. we were advised the restaurant was on reduced hours, no breakfast and closing at 8. the hot would be providing a "breakfast" snack, so well ok. We stayed there nights, absolutely no parking lot lighting provided hence the six cars broken into. the building was very dark and uninviting. i know renovations need to take place but there seem to be no planning for our arrival. we normally eat at the the restaurant daily. the hotel does need renovations, our room needs definite freshening up. but the sale of the on going work should have been communicated. as for the breakfast "snack' either way too many guest of way to few snacks available, never got one. this experience really made us think that we will definitely look elsewhere next stay, 25 years and all it takes is 25 minutes to ruin the trip. better planning people

There was no breakfast at the restaurant so they had grab and go bags but they were not consistent . Some days there were spoons and others not. I was there for 4 nights and called once for refill of cups and was treated like a bother by the front desk, “we were just up there”. They were up there a half hour before to bring garbage bags but hey you aren’t cleaning the room or asking me if I need anything so yeah you might have to come more than once. When I booked and called to confirm the room it was never mentioned that the pool wasn’t open because of maintenance. We have three kids who all had bathing suits and were excited about going to the pool. When I asked for an upgrade for the inconvenience it seemed like I was taking food from their mouth. Poor service and lack of compassion are my memories of this latest stay.
